The play's plot itself is your classic and tragic love story focused on Christian and Satine, an American composer arrives in Montmartre, Paris to find out his dream and path in life, and a star performer in the Moulin Rouge entertainment venue, respectively. Christian and Satine enter into a forbidden love as they become more acquainted with each other, and it is in their affair that they go back and forth as they try to unsuccessfully stop themselves, though fate continues to bring them closer together.
