Beetlejuice the Musical will hold a series of performances at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center at the Andrew Jackson Hall from the 12th to the 17th of May, 2024. Follow the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. It’s hilarious! BEETLEJUICE is directed by Alex Timbers, a Tony Award winner known for his work on “Moulin Rouge!” and the upcoming animated musical film adaptation of Michael Morpurgo and Emma Chichester Clark’s 2017 book “TOTO,” under Warner Bros. This production features an original score crafted by Tony Award nominee Eddie Perfect, acclaimed for his work on “King Kong.” The captivating story unfolds from the creative minds of Tony Award nominees Scott Brown, known for his work on “Castle Rock,” and Anthony King, who also boasts nominations for both Tony and Emmy Awards for “Robbie.” Kris Kukul, recognized for his contributions to “Joan of Arc: Into the Fire,” lends his talents in music supervision, orchestrations, and incidental music, while choreography comes courtesy of Connor Gallagher, known for his work on “The Robber Bridegroom.”

It is produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Langley Park Productions and NETworks Presentations.

BEETLEJUICE made its grand entrance onto Broadway’s Winter Garden Theatre stage on April 25, 2019, thanks to Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures. It was led by Mark Kaufman, and Langley Park Productions, spearheaded by Kevin McCormick. The production wowed audiences, earning accolades like the Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award for David Korins’ scenic design, while racking up eight Tony Award nominations, including Best New Musical.

Following its original cast recording release and Tony Awards appearance, BEETLEJUICE exploded at the box office, surprising everyone as the standout hit of the 2018/2019 season. Its Tony Awards performance became a viral sensation, racking up over 3,921,530 views and drawing in a whole new audience from platforms like TikTok, propelling it to become one of Broadway’s top-grossing shows and even breaking the Winter Garden box office record. After a successful run of 366 performances, BEETLEJUICE closed its curtains on March 12, 2020. It went on to make a triumphant return at the Marquis Theatre on April 8, 2022, and now haunting on tour. 

The BEETLEJUICE – ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST RECORDING, produced by Matt Stine, Alex Timbers, Eddie Perfect, and Kurt Deutsch, was released by GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS and WARNER RECORDS. It boasts an impressive 250 million streams in the United States and a staggering 760 million streams globally. This remarkable success placed the album among the top 10 most streamed Original Broadway Cast Recordings of the previous decade, with songs from the show landing in Spotify’s “Viral 50” charts in 13 countries. One standout track, “Say My Name,” even earned the coveted title of Amazon’s “Alexa Song of the Day” in 2019, further fueling its popularity, especially thanks to the millions of user-generated content on TikTok, where the show’s tunes were featured in over one million videos.

Each performance will run for two hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. The Tennessee Performing Arts Center is an accessible facility – wheelchair-accessible seating is located at the back of the orchestra level. Elevators provide access to the Grand Tier, Loges, and Balcony.
