Following its opening series of performances in Texas, the show will land at Nashville’s Tennessee Performing Arts Center for a week-long stint from February 13 to 18.

“I think one of the biggest things that I learned about Tina was that her tenacity and drive were really impeccable. She was always going to find a way to figure something out. I think the faith in herself even in her darkest of days is what speaks to a lot of people,” lead star Ari Groover shared in a recent interview with Analisa Swerczek from BroadwayWorld.
Directed by Phyllida Lloyd, CBE, TINA – The Tina Turner Musical employs a tightly narrated book written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Katori Hall, Frank Ketelaar, and Kees Prins. On April 17, 2018, TINA – The Tina Turner Musical launched its world premiere in London’s West End row at the Aldwych Theatre. It was praised by Michael Billington, Britain’s longest-serving theater critic, as a “whirlwind performance” in his review in The Guardian, and received a Laurence Olivier Award in 2020. This same year, the production found its way to Broadway’s limelight, where it won Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical at the 74th Annual Tony Awards, with two wins from the Drama Desk Awards and five honors from the Outer Critics Circle.
